If you stay in one of our carefully selected host families, you definitely have chosen the best option to have contact with the local population. We’ve been in contact with these families for several years, so you are in absolutely safe hands. All our families live in La Cala nearby the school and the sea. Our host families are open-minded and looking forward to get to know you and your culture!

Food

All our families provide you breakfast in the morning which normally consists of bread with mermelade and butter, cheese etc., fruit, milk/coffee/tea or cereals. You either have the option to also eat lunch and/or dinner with your family and thus, get to know the local cuisine. However, if you don’t chose this option, you can use the kitchen to store and prepare your own food.

Privacy

If you travel alone, you will be given an individual room, unless you request us to share a room with a student of your age (depending on availability). This option might be useful for young students which prefer the contact with people of the same age. In any case, you will have your privacy and don’t have to share the room with a family member.

A great experience

You normally will be given a key to the house which allows you to enter when you want. If you’d like the family to have a child of your age, just contact us and we will try to make it possible (depending on availability).

All in all, living with a Spanish family is a great opportunity to feel the cultural immersion. Not only that your Spanish will improve quickly, but you also get a true insight in the Spanish culture.
